Let’s work together to keep your pet healthy!
For the convenience of you and your pet, our clinic is equipped to handle everything from wellness to surgery. We also offer an in-house laboratory.
Wellness Plans
From the first visit and throughout their entire life, we’ll be there to provide the absolute best care for your pet. Our wellness care measures can maximize the fullness of your pet’s life, both in terms of what your pet can do and for how long. Annual physical exams are essential! Many of our younger patients have yearly exams, but we recommend exams every six months for aging pets or those who have medical conditions.
Puppy / Kitten Care
Do you have a new puppy or kitten? Congratulations on this addition to your family! One of the first things you should do when you bring your new pet home is to introduce him or her to us – your veterinary care team. Puppy and kitten visits offer a unique opportunity to get you and your new pet off on the right foot!
Pet Surgery
Our experienced veterinarians provide many surgical services at our clinic, ranging from routine to advanced procedures. Our veterinary team takes every precaution so that your pet receives the highest-quality care. We perform a physical exam and pre-anesthetic testing before surgery, monitor your pet during surgery, and provide appropriate pain medication to keep your pet comfortable during recovery.
Nutrition Support Consultations
Nutrition plays a critical role in the overall health and wellbeing of your pet. Your pet’s nutritional needs change with age and activity level. Specially formulated diets can assist in the management of various medical conditions like kidney disease, diabetes, heart disease. Work closely with your veterinarian to find the right food and the right intake amount for your pet.
Dental Care, Consultation and Surgery
Dentistry in veterinary medicine isn’t just about keeping your pet’s teeth white and mouth smelling good. Many of our pets suffer in silence from acute/chronic oral pain and systemic bacteria from periodontal disease, tooth fractures, tooth resorption, and many other oral conditions. It is our team’s goal to help you identify, stop, and prevent the pain and systemic side effects from these conditions for your pet, whether a simple cleaning or more advanced procedure such as dental surgery is needed.
Ultrasonography/Digital Radiography
Ultrasonography, or an ultrasound, is a diagnostic imaging technique similar to radiography (X-rays) and is usually used in conjunction with radiography and other diagnostic measures. It allows visualization of the deep structures of the body. Ultrasonography can be used for various purposes, including examination of the animal’s heart, kidneys, liver, gallbladder, bladder, etc.
Not all illnesses or injuries can be seen by the naked eye – that’s where digital X-rays come into play. Digital X-rays are routinely used to diagnose and examine broken bones, obstructions, orthopedic problems, tumors, bladder stones, heart enlargement, etc. We can also use digital X-rays to confirm pregnancies or detect ingested objects. A quicker diagnosis leads to quicker treatment and a better prognosis for your pet.
In-House Laboratory
Blood tests and other laboratory tests are essential in keeping your pet well and diagnosing illness. Bridgeland Vet Clinic offers an in-house, state-of-the-art laboratory enabling us to provide accurate lab results within a very short period of time. The faster we are able to diagnose your pet’s health issue, the faster we can treat it!
